Then, I moved to Japan, hired by the Jet Programme and the Hokkaido Board of Education. On the program I worked as the head English Language teacher at an Elementary school. I developed the curriculum for grades 1-6 as the school was new and unfamiliar with teaching English. I was also able to help the Japanese teachers understand how to work effectively with the new ALT’s coming the following years. In addition to Elementary school, I worked as an ALT for the junior high school in the town. Assisting the head Japanese teacher and helping in any areas that I could.

I decided to live in Okinawa. I have lived here for six months now and have recently finished my contract with an English Academy. My role was to teach students from 3 years of age to as old as 70!
I am now contracted to work as a business English teacher to an Okinawa Oil company part time. Teaching advanced grammar and business English.
